Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, has disclosed that over 36,000 policemen and women, mostly the rank and file, will proceed on promotion course from June 24.
He disclosed this at the inauguration of the board of directors of the Nigeria Police Property Development and Construction Company Limited, in Abuja, Monday.
However, he said that corrupt officers would not benefit from any welfare package meant for the police.
On the welfare package, the IGP charged the board to ensure the delivery of standard housing of not more than N4 million for inspectors and the rank and file across the nation in the next six months.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Logistics and Supply, Mamman Tsafe, chairs the board of the Property Development and Construction Company Limited.
