Davidson George, a senior medical officer with the Federal Ministry Of Health who spoke up about the alleged fraud and maltreatment that characterized the Ebola volunteer programme in Liberia and Sierra Leone, has been arrested.
He was arrested Thursday on his way out of Summit Villa, Life camp, Abuja by plainclothes policemen from the Apo police station.
PREMIUM TIMES had reported Wednesday about how Nigerian officials and staff of the African Union maltreated and stole from Nigerian volunteers sent to Sierra Leone and Liberia to help fight the scourge of Ebola.
The police officers said the arrest was a “mere invitation”.
