The travails of the embattled former National security Adviser Sambo Dasuki has taken a new twist as the Federal Government has been warned not to allow him travel abroad for the sake of National security.
The former Director of the National Taskforce to Combat Illegal Importation of Small Arms, Ammunition and Light Weapons (NATFORCE), Dr Emma Okereke, during an exclusive interview with our correspondent called for the revocation of the bail earlier granted the ex-NSA, disclosed that Dasuki, aside from playing prominent role in the botched Arms Deal, mismanaged the funds meant for the fight against the Boko Haram insurgency.
Okereke urged the Federal Government to come out open with the findings in the probe of the former NSA, instead of keeping Nigerians in the dark about the allegations of treason and money laundering level against him.
He pointed out that his quest for medical trip overseas is a decoy to meet with his foreign collaborators to unleash mayhem in the country, especially the plot to undermine the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Okereke, who expressed concern over the ex-NSA’s sudden confidence in the Judiciary, queried if he had ever obeyed any Court Order during his tenure as the National Security Adviser.
According to him, “Dasuki roped former President Jonathan into trouble because he totally misinformed him about the Arms Deal and the Boko Haram insurgency. His expertise as NSA should be questioned”.
He continued that, “If Dasuki is allowed to travel out of the country, he will activate his foreign contacts, which can unleash mayhem on the country. His actions and inactions contributed to the festering of Boko Haram insurgency in the country.
If he is sincere about his health claims, he should invite the doctors to Nigeria as he has accumulated so much resources to do so. My advice to President Buhari as a security expert that worked closely with the former administration, he should not allow Dasuki to travel out of the country under any guise because he is a potential security threat”.
Meanwhile, the two time presidential candidate enjoined the people of the South East and the country at large be patient and support the APC led Federal Government irrespective of the ethnic or political difference as he is confident in the  President Buhari led administration to revamping  Nigeria’s economy.
