Edo Legislator, Agbaje condemns Uneme-Okpella clash


Member, representing Akoko Edo South Constituency in Edo state House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Agbaje has condemned the clash between Uneme Ehunrun and Ogute Okpella Community.

The Lawmaker who spoke during a press briefing with journalists in Benin city,  lamented the destruction of lives and properties and called on the warring communities to sheath their swords and embrace peace in the spirit of Afemai.

He called on the state government to swing into action in other to resolve the boundary dispute.

According to Agbaje, “What we want is development and poverty eradication and not war”.

He said, “we do not need war to resolve boundary issues”.

He pledged to do all within his power to bring about peaceful resolution of the crisis as well as peaceful co-existence.

Besides, he commended the State Government and Security agencies for rising up to the occasion.
