How Oshiomhole’s achievements can guarantee a win for APC

The Esogban of Benin Kingdom and Chairman of the Benin Forum, umbrella organisation for Binis home and in the Diaspora, Chief David Edebiri, has said the forum would have loved to invite people from other states to come to Edo state and see what is happening under Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
The Esogban said, “It is not enough to make statements on the pages of newspapers to say this man is not doing anything, it is better you come and see what is happening here. Even with the current economic down turn, Oshiomhole continues to build and construct. We were impressed and every human being who is good will be impressed with what the governor is doing. We love him, we have confidence in him and we will continue to support his government.
He said “the process of selecting a successor is first and foremost the work of politicians. They have their own method of producing candidates. At that stage, those of us who are not politicians can only be onlookers.
“Oshiomhole is still going to be the issue whether he is contesting or not. To their advantage, Oshiomhole has performed, so whoever is chosen by the party will rise on the back of Oshiomhole as against their opponents who will not have nothing to show us what they have done”.
In a the same vein, the Executive Director, Media and Public Affairs, Governor’s Office, Mr. John Mayaki said, “Politics and governance can be better when you see risk coming. A month after November 13th and after the alert-Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s exit, when the typical civil servant fails to receive alert, what happens? I think workers in Osun, Imo etc. would be in vantage positions to educate us.

“Civil servants, in this case, who have their fingers on the pulse of risk; what they see, share and thrive on, can best tell, if not now, post Oshiomhole how it hurts, when there is no alert by month’s end just because a wrong person was elected to run the affairs of governance, God forbid.

“Change is the only constant, they say but there is imminent disaster for a bad choice ahead, the brunt of which we will all suffer; the civil service, politician-delegates and the masses. But where Oshiomhole comes in is outside-the –box thinking, to help inside-the –governance driving.

“In arriving at one, we must not bring in emotions; those with capacity and brains only. A sharp-tongued, head-over-heart leader who can work more than 80 hours a week and possibly keeps a twin-size wooden bed near his desk.

“I appreciate Oshiomhole’s idea of governance and political finesse, however, what Edo needs after him is a smarter than others among the lot- he will need to be able to think above and ahead of the masses. If we can get this right, Edo will be successful post Oshiomhole.

“Aside from the untold horror workers would go through, after a leader who meets the monthly obligations of pensioners and workers to exit well and strong, it stifles thinking, especially among those who desperately try to grab power just to keep strapped to the office to protect their own interests and not workers welfare.

“As the days to primaries and governorship elections wears on, I have no doubt in the Governor’s political integrity and love for workers to join in the search for a competent personality to keep the fire burning.

“No doubt, Mr. Governor upholds the rule of law, increases the freedom of the people, demystifies governance and increased political participation, delivered to the letter on the mandate of the people, despise corruption, promotes efficiency, punishes indolence and inefficiency and stands up against tyranny”.

Osiomole increased Ambrose Alli University From 25000 to 200000 with the hope of upgrading it. But using the money to build another state university in his village(iyanomo). what a wicked man,and agent of destruction. The south-south should reject APC,cos its the party of our oppressors(The hausa/fulani). Oshiomole only cares about his personal interest, not the future of the next generation edo indigins.

Which great nation? You are only interested in Niger Delta’s oil. The hausa/fulani are responsible for the unemployment my people go through. You guys are also responsible for the economic backwardness in the south south. Am not a PDP and never like them, but just concern about the safety of my tribal group. If you like call me a tribalist
