“Pastor”, Let Us Pray!
By John Mayaki
There is nothing prayers cannot do – prayers move mountains – “who art thou mountain before Zerubbabel (Pastor), that mountain must become plain” – prayer changes things – the heart of the King is in the hand of the Lord, including the heart of our Party Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sherif, where it wishes the Lord, he turneth it.
“Pastor” Sir, let us pray. I want to pray with you because this kind of judgments coming against you for another candidate of our party, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Matthew Iduoriyekemwen must stop – and this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
“Pastor” Sir, “be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God”, including this election. We need not cast and bind Ali Modu Sherif, No, neither must he Die by Fire! We must do a soul searching “Pastor”!
But before we pray “Pastor”, are there known and unknown sins you have committed? What about presumptuous sins? And those that easily beseth you? What about unequally yoke with unbelievers? Although, I know you don’t commit fornication.
“Pastor”, I can assure you that “the hands of the Lord is not short that he cannot answer prayers but our iniquities have debarred answers to prayers”.
And so, you must confess your sins “Pastor” and if you are ready, kneel down, like a Roman Catholic parishioner before a Rev. Father on a Saturday evening, preparatory for Sunday Holy Communion confessing his sins profusely – James 5 verse 16, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed…”
And 1st John chapter one verse nine, “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.
“…..put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil. Learn to do well. Seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”, Isaiah 1 vs 16-18.
Didn’t the Holy writ say the effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much?
“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near”.
Then, after all these, I recommend restitution “Pastor” – whatsoever has been taken forcefully or illegally, without the intention to “grab”, must be returned to the rightful owners – Oba and or less mortals. You must visit the EFCC on your own volition to confess all your sins to them – the ones you haven’t told them (including the Elders of the Church) – And the Lord will heal the Land.
Now that you have “set your face like a flint, I know that you will not be ashamed. ….I will take thee, O Zerubbabel, (Pastor), my servant…. And will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee…” says the Lord.
Bless You “Pastor”! The Church Loves You. Before I leave you, get a copy of “Charles Spurgeon” – “Give Me England Else, I die”.
