Major contenders eying Osadebey Avenue, the seat of Government in Edo Sate poured encomiums on Governor Adams Oshiomhole on his 64th birthday.
Today, 4th of April, Governor Adams Oshiomhole added another year.
Among the first in the list of well-wishers is Major Gen. Charles Airhiavbere, an All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain and gubernatorial aspirant.
He was not alone, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi, who is also in the Edo 2016 gubernatorial race sent a warm greeting to the State Governor.
According to Airhiavbere, “I, on behalf of my family heartily felicitate with you on this auspicious occasion of your birthday.
“From all ramifications of your sojourn on earth, you have imprinted indelible marks of monumental achievements that positively impact on live.
“You are a visionary leader, focused achiever and quintessential team-player and an accomplished family man that have turned the political and infrastructural landscape of Edo State to the envy of all. Indeed, you are worthy to be celebrated”.
Another, a card from the office of Her Excellency, Wife of the Governor, said “we rejoice with you as you celebrate on this great day, you are such a pleasant person, always friendly but frank and sincere, always doing something nice to spread a little cheer.
“Everybody who knows you have a reason to be thankful to God for being connected with you. It’s our prayer that the Almighty God will continue to bless you and give you long, good life with riches, honour, peace and joy. Have a wonderful birthday sir”.
For Ogiemwonyi, “Under your tenure as Governor of Edo State, we witnessed rapid infrastructural development, you have transformed the ancient city of Benin to a modern city that boast of modern schools popularly referred to as red roof, good roads with drainage channels, beautiful scenery and urban renewal.
“The yet-to-be commissioned ultra-modern health facility of the Benin Central Hospital will be one of the enduring legacies of your administration.
“My Governor, you are a dependable, diligent and unshakeable advocate of genuine democratic principles. I wish you good health and longevity. Congratulations and many happy returns”, the former minister of State for works said.
