The Matrix of Feedback Mechanism

It’s a month today, precisely 6th of January, 2016 when the first edition of the Roundtable was held with Media Practitioners in the state with theme: The Media Practitioner’s View of Edo State under Governor Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole.

The idea was to clinically discuss, review and assess the administration of Governor Adams Oshiomhole with the potentials for generating strategies on how to finish well and stronger from the volume of the legacies of his achievements.

After a successful and fruitful deliberations, a communique was released and same was conveyed to Government. As a responsive and responsible Government, there was the need to address those grey areas raised for government attention and what government was doing in other sectors of the economy.

The matrix, therefore, was the need for this second edition of the roundtable as a feedback mechanism which is intended to clarify those hazy policies of government in the public domain while raising other issues that can move us into a brighter future. This is the whole essence.

The discussants will be expected to better enlighten the citizens, nay the electorate, on specific areas of their official functions as there may have been misconceptions, misrepresentations and even errors of judgment on specific government policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of the people.

Today’s roundtable promises to be robust as was the first; and the ultimate beneficiary of the session will be the people who will better appreciate the position of government.

I must also register my gratitude to the esteemed members of Press – members of my ‘first constituency’, who have been most supportive of this roundtable initiative. Their coverage of our first outing was most impressive and salutary; the impact was phenomenal. We expect this partnership to continue for our mutual good.

Again, I salute you all.
