Who says it’s a setback for Osaro Pedro Agbonifo Obaseki to join the loading 2016 governorship race in Edo State because his brother, Godwin Obaseki had already indicated interest to offer service? Have you heard of the Ubas? I mean Andy and Chris? Are you conversant with the story? That controversial family of Anambra state when former Olusegun Obasanjo called the shots at the Presidential villa.

We shall come to that episode subsequently.

www.johnmayaki was not in the know that another Obaseki is coveting the Oshiomhole’s seat until an independent opinion poll on the best candidate to take Edo State to the next level was sponsored by a powerful organization in the United Kingdom and United States of America and found this website useful for outreach.

However, a most enlightened Nigerian, sent an email to me, querying my audacity and bias against him and for deliberately or maliciously excluding him from the aspirants and the opinion polls. These are my words and not his please.

He, in his email to me, was very civil and courteous and we expect the race to be in that order; intellectual engagement and highly civilized means of communication. It was, however, a personal mail but permit me to share some words here.

“I write you as a colleague. As you may be aware, I am very much in the race for Edo 2016. To my chagrin, I found out that I am not on your polling list. As a media practitioner
like you sir, let’s endeavor a level-playing field. That way, we all
leverage on your perceived impartial umpire Status.

“I am also interested in leveraging on your online presence, a space I am MOST
comfortable in”, the humble Obaseki had mailed.

I haven’t met him, but am in love with him. Besides, I went ahead to demand for his details for inclusion and he immediately obliged me. I present to you, this personality called Osaro Pedro Agbonifo Obaseki, the man who may set another record from the discussion already on-going.
